Christmas Trivia + Giveaway

So one of my favs Omoniyi, after reading my last post where I indicated that hampers were my go to gift, asked me what he had to do to get one of my hampers. It was a joke but it gave me a great idea: GIVEAWAY!!!! Thank you for the great idea.

I've not done a giveaway in soooo long. Actually, I've only ever done one. So this Christmas, I will be giving away a delightful little hamper to the first person to answer all my trivia questions correctly.

I like riddles, puzzles, trivia, those sorts of things. I hope you do too.

Before we begin, here are the rules:

  1. It is only open to those that live in Lagos, Abuja, Abeokuta and Ibadan. Unfortunately, these are the places I can have the hamper delivered to in good time.
  2. The competition ends on the  30th of December, 2015.  I will announce the winner on the 31st of December, and get the hamper across ASAP.
  3. The hamper is for the first person who gets ALL the answers correctly.
Cool? Cool.

So here we go...

1. In what state does the biggest Christmas Carnival in Nigeria take place?

2. In the movie Best Man Holiday, who sang the song the friends mimed to?

3. What is the name of the Destiny's Child Christmas album?

4. What is the Scrooge's first name?

5. How do you say "Merry Christmas" in the Edo, Fulani, French and Ibibio languages?

6. Under what plant, now used as a Christmas decoration, are you required by Christmas tradition to kiss a lover should you happen to stand beneath it at the same time?

7. What did my true love give to me on the 9th day of Christmas?

8. What story in nativity does gift giving at Christmas denote?

9. What is it called when as a member of a group or an organisation, one picks a name at random and is required to purchase a Christmas gift for the chosen party anonymously?

10. What is the name of the call and response duet; originally written in 1944 but has since been rerecorded by various artistes, most recently in 2014, in which the male singer attempts to convince the female singer to stay with him for a romantic evening, citing bad weather and associated hardships for why it made sense for her to stay?

I hope you all attempt this, even if I won't be able to deliver to your location. I'm certain a lot of people would smash this quiz to bits but I only have one hamper to give out. I'm sowi cheries. Anyho, happy quizzing and no cheating guys. Jesus is watching you o, ehen.

Peace Out!
